PROFILE :

The Department of Animal Production and Technology (APT) was established on September 1, 1963, with a vision to be a center of excellence in education, research, and community service in animal production and animal product technologies. The establishment of the APT department aims to produce qualified graduates, develop sustainable farming systems and technology, engage in community service, and improve national and international cooperation. To achieve these objectives, APT runs a series of educational, research, and community service activities in animal production, including managing and utilizing animal and livestock resources and farming systems through biological, technological, and environmental aspects. Livestock production involves applying physiology, genetics, and resources to produce sustainable animal products and services. The handling and processing of livestock products include fresh handling, storing, selecting, grouping, transporting, and packaging. Finally, the main and by-products of livestock can be utilized to meet sustainable human needs. APT collaborates with other stakeholders to build sustainable livestock for the community’s welfare.

Under the APT department, the APT study program has been accredited “A” by BAN PT and internationally certified by the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). The program is supported by highly qualified experts in animal production technology who graduated from various world-class universities with well-proven experiences in the field. The program also has teaching and research facilities, including modern classrooms, high-end laboratory equipment, and complete teaching farms. Graduates from this program have a wide range of job opportunities, including entrepreneurship, livestock industry, technical support and service, research and development, breeding supervision, and animal science research. In addition, they can work in government and private institutions to contribute to sustainable and innovative livestock production. The program also actively engages with local and multinational industries to provide practical experiences and ensure the program is always relevant to market demand.
